International Development Aid

EFCF workers have been involved in International Aid and Development work from the beginning of the movement’s history in the late 19th Century.

The first workers to reach the remote Himalaya region in the early 1900’s introduced apple-farming and founded a weaving school and factory that is still functioning today. They were the first Finnish catalysts for development in Asia.

The Picture Today
